Mobile Ultrasound

Abdominal ultrasound is an essential tool to elevate patient care and provide insight into diagnosis and disease management. This diagnostic tool provides information that is both non-invasive and cost-effective. I am able to provide mobile abdominal ultrasound services to patients in the comfort of their primary care veterinary practice.

MObile Endoscopy

I am  able to provide gastrointestinal endoscopy (esophagastroduodenoscopy, ileocolonoscopy, and esophagoscopy) for the evaluation of dogs and cats with chronic gastrointestinal disease or following the ingestion of gastrointestinal foreign bodies. I am also able to provide rhinoscopy, and bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage for the evaluation of dogs and cats with respiratory diseases, and cystoscopy in female dogs with urinary diseases.

Mobile Diagnostic Liver Laparoscopy

A conventional liver biopsy is obtained in a manner that involves a large incision to expose the organ for biopsy. Using minimally-invasive laparoscopy however, the liver can be visualized and samples can be taken for biopsy and other tests to obtain a specific diagnosis. Documented advantages of laparoscopy in people include decreased pain, hospitalization, faster return to function, improved cosmesis, lower infection rates, and improved visualization and magnification. Patients that have a laparoscopic liver biopsy seem to recover quicker and have less pain associated with their incision site.

A 9 year old, neuter male cat had a diagnostic laparoscopic liver biopsy and was diagnosed with idiopathic chronic hepatitis, a rare find in cats that typically have cholangitis (inflammation of the bile ducts).

A 13 year old, spayed female German Shepherd had a laparoscopic liver biopsy and was diagnosed with copper-associated chronic hepatitis.

An 11 year old, spayed female cat, had a rhinoscopy examination for a possible nasal foreign body and was diagnosed with nasal carcinoma.
